Strengthening International Ties to Elevate Philippine Swimming
Philippine Aquatics Inc. (PAI) is pleased to announce the formalization of a strategic partnership with Nunawading Swim Club (NSC) of Melbourne, Australia—an esteemed institution renowned as one of the country’s premier swimming organizations, with a distinguished legacy of developing Olympians, Commonwealth Games representatives, and world-class competitors since its founding in 1960.
Under the terms of a signed Memorandum of Agreement, PAI and NSC will collaborate on a comprehensive program encompassing joint training camps, technical knowledge transfer initiatives, and specialized development pathways for both athletes and coaches. These activities will be hosted at leading Philippine venues including the state-of-the-art facilities in New Clark City and Baguio City, leveraging international expertise alongside robust local support to raise performance benchmarks and foster a culture of excellence in Philippine swimming.
The partnership is already demonstrating tangible impact, as SEA Games Gold Medalist and national team swimmer Xiandi Chua is currently undergoing training with Nunawading Swim Club—exemplifying how global exposure and high-performance training environments can accelerate the growth of Filipino athletes.
